Originally released on Grey Matter colored vinyl on Record Store Day 2026, this limited pressing of untitled (albini rough mixes) 12" on Oxblood Swirl vinyl is available exclusively from the Touch and Go Records store. Recorded by Steve Albini in 1989 and restored / remastered from the original tapes by Bob Weston in 2025, the RSD pressing sold out immediately.  Preorder your copy on oxblood swirl vinyl while supplies last.

Despite Steve Albini relentlessly advocating for Touch and Go Records to release Tweez in 1989, we declined. A few weeks later, Steve invited Slint to an impromptu recording session to make use of some studio time booked by another band who did not show up. At the end of the session, Steve did a quick mix for the band to take home. The next day, Steve dropped off a tape of those mixes to me at the Touch and Go office. These new Slint recordings blew my mind and I could not stop listening to them. Shortly thereafter, we agreed to release Slint's next album on Touch and Go – the soon to be recorded Spiderland.
