Sierra and Bianca have scheduled a handful of U.S. live dates for the month of June and some European festival dates for July. In September, they'll be back in the States to grace the stage of Bumbershoot in Seattle and, of course, the Touch and Go 25th Anniversary Celebration.
In addition to shows in both New York and Philadelphia, they'll be lauding the arrival of the Desert Doughnuts LP by Metallic Falcons, Sierra's side project with Voodoo-EROS confrere, Matteah Baim. The album release party, scheduled for June 7 at Tonic in New York City, will feature performances by an impressive clan of local musicians including Kid Congo (Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, The Cramps, The Gun Club), Nomi, Bow Ribbons and some other surprise guests.
Desert Doughnuts, which will hit both physical and digital shelves on June 6, is the highly-anticipated third release by Brooklyn-based record label Voodoo-EROS. The collaborative spirit of CocoRosie and Voodoo-EROS didn't escape them on their latest effort either. The album boasts a talented crop of guest Falcons including Greg Rogrove (Tarantula A.D.), Antony (Antony & The Johnsons), Jana Hunter and Devendra Banhart. We would tell you what it sounds like but there might not be words adequate. Oh, look! We've said too much already!
