New Book Documents the Rock and Roll Conquests (And Misbahavior) of the Jesus Lizard, Book Tour with Band Members Begins

The Jesus Lizard are on tour again (sort of)! Earlier this month, Akashic Books released The Jesus Lizard Book - a stylish, over-sized, three-pound coffee-table masterpiece, presenting and exploring this legendary quartet. The book includes full-color as well as black-and-white tour photos and personal photos from the band, written contributions by all four members of The Jesus Lizard, reproductions of band posters, a delicious recipe by David Yow, a complete list of every show the band played, biographical material of each member from childhood to the demise of the band in 1999, and plenty of additional archival material to entertain. Also included are original writings from Corey Rusk, Steve Albini, Andy Gill, Mike Watt, Hank Williams III, Steve Gullick, Rebecca Gates, Jeff Lane, KRK, Guy Picciotto, and many more.

To celebrate, David Yow, David Wm. Sims, and Mac McNeilly will appear together (for the first time since their 2009 reunion tour) at book events in New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago. But it all starts tonight in Austin, Texas! Details for all appearances below:
