Calexico contributes to documentary debuting at SXSW

Acclaimed photographer and debut film director Andrew Shapter will be premiering �Before the Music Dies,� a new documentary observing the evolution of popular music in America. According to the film�s website, the results of Shapter's research and travel include many thought-provoking interviews with fans, journalists, record execs and musicians--one of which is Calexico. The band purportedly contributes both commentary and live performances to the documentary.

The film�s debut will take place at 4:30pm on Sunday, March 12 at the Paramount Theatre. The film will be followed by an after-party with live music beginning at 8pm in the Austin Music Hall. Much more information can be found at the film�s official website.
