Calexico to play benefit show

Remember high school field trips to the state capital? Well, imagine how cool it would be to have Calexico support your high school band’s efforts in making a trip to our Nation’s capital.

On Friday, May 23rd, Calexico will perform at the Rialto Theatre in Tucson, AZ as a benefit for Mariachi Aztlán de Pueblo High School, who will also be part of the night’s activities. Calexico is helping the high school band raise funds for a trip to Washington, D.C. on July 4th, in which the student-musicians will represent the state of Arizona in the National Independence Day Parade.

Tickets are on sale now for this all-ages show. Fellow Tucson residents and Calexico-collaborators Salvador Duran and Mariachi Luz de Luna will also perform.
